| Area covered: |
The Birchwood Group generally covers the area within the boundary formed by the A46, Skellingthorpe Road, Tritton Road and Whisby Road. The Group works closely with the adjoining groups at North Hykeham and Skellingthorpe and our responders often cover calls within those areas on a reciprocal basis. |

| History: |
Birchwood Responders formed in 2002 and has continued without a break since then. By mid 2010 the group had only 4 active responders but by September 2011 this had increased to 8 active responders and 6 other Group members allowing significant cover throughout the week. The Group meets monthly at the Wildlife Pub and also holds regular training evenings at the Birchwood Leisure Centre. |
