| News: | We are currently seeking donations to meet our needs of £5000 for extra medical and training equipment/costs.

All First Responders are volunteers and receive no financial recompense for their services. |
We would welcome anyone to our meetings who may be interested in supporting us in anyway. We have Team members available to give talks and demonstrations, to groups & organisations, on the role of

It has been brought to my attention that the Sutton on Sea First Responder Group attended a patient at ******* ******** in ******** ****** on *****July 2011. The patient collapsed into a state of cardiac arrest in the presence of the responders who then managed to resuscitate and defibrillate the patient whilst the ambulance was en route. The patient transpired to have suffered a massive M.I and was taken to Lincoln CCU by the crew.
I am pleased to report that the patient is alive and recovering well, I have no doubt in my mind that this is in no small part due to the actions of the responders on the day. The Paramedic that attended has asked me to pass on his thanks to the responders for their prompt actions and the assistance that they gave to the patient and the crew on the day.
I would also like to add my personal thanks on behalf of EMAS for the dedication and professionalism demonstrated, this is a fine example of the important work that LIVES responders do throughout the county of Lincolnshire.
I am sure you will join with me in passing this message of gratitude onto the responders concerned - Keith & Roger: the detail was EMAS job number ********
Best Regards

| 999 Call to chest pain in Feb 2011- Letter of thanks
Dear Sirs,
I just feel I had to write to you to say a big thank you, to two of your First Responders, Keith and Roger. My husband recently had a bad reaction to some prescribed drugs, and your two lads were brilliant! My husband was in a lot of pain and couldn't breathe very well, but they were here within minutes, and soon had him much calmer and reassured. By the time the paramedics came he was beginning to improve. He is now better and we feel it is mainly due to your first responders. Will you please give them a big thank you from both of us, and long may they continue with their very good work.
Yours faithfully,
Anne S......... |

| 999 Emergency call to a cardiac arrest- Letter of thanks
LIVES Paramedic ECP, Steve Pratten has just telephoned Reception. He attended a cardiac arrest in Huttoft today as an EMAS Paramedic.
Steve would like to thank the two Responders who helped him. One was Keith Auvache and we think the other was Roger Capper (the ID number Steve gave us wasn’t correct but Roger is the most likely fit). He said that they both showed good Responder skills and he was keen to let them know that he appreciated the help and professionalism. Please pass this on to them for me.
Regards
Paul Martin
